The summer weather can be difficult to predict, but one thing is certain - you don't give your radiators much thought! And why should you? They are turned off! If you have the faintest idea though, that it might be a good idea to replace your radiators soon, then summer is actually the time to do it. And there are several good reasons why.
A good reason to replace your radiators in the summer rather than the winter is because you don't use them. The heating must be switched off during the time it takes to replace the radiators. Your house would therefore be unbearably cold if replacement had to be done during the winter months. So, make sure your radiators are in top shape before the cold months are back again.
When your radiators are replaced, noise and dust nuisance can follow. In the summer, it's a lot easier if you need a break from the dust or need a bit of peace and quiet away from the noise. It's sunny, bright and warm outside - and you therefore don't need to have a plan B for where you're going – maybe you can just slip out into the garden or to a nearby park. That would be a less attractive solution if it is dark and freezing outside!
Plumbers and installers are typically less busy in the summertime, as for many installers it is also the low season for replacements and installation of heating systems. This means that you are very likely to find an available installer and therefore be first in line to get professional help to a replacement your radiators. Some installers even do promotions during the summertime, so you might even be able to get it cheaper on top of that.
If you know it's about time you should have your radiators replaced - either because of the heating system or because your radiators are getting old -then do it before you need to! When you know everything is under control and dealt with, you'll sleep much better through the cold, dark winter nights.

A final, but by no means insignificant advantage of replacing your radiators in the summer, is that you have the luxury of being able to choose exactly the design, colour and finish of the new radiator that you want. There is no need to stress about having to choose a radiator now and then because you are desperate to get the heat back into the house.
During the summer months you have plenty of time to make your decision as a little waiting on the right design or colour doesn’t mean anything. You can spend the waiting time at the beach, in the garden with friends or under the open sky knowing that you will get exactly the radiator design that you want and don’t have to freeze during the winter months.
